The big myth

Abstract

How do people from different cultures view themselves, the world and their origins? The "Big myth" is an educational CD-ROM and website; a collection of traditional creation myths from around the world told in Flash animation, made for direct use in primary school classrooms. This CD-ROM, presently in English and Dutch, is a valuable resource for any teacher who focuses on issues relating to mythology, cultural history, intercultural understanding, religion, etc. The accompanying educational section makes use of cooperative learning strategies.
